Hello - Merhaba !
Thanks - Teşekkürler
Nice to meet you - Tanıştığımıza memnun oldum .

These are just some of the words that we, Zemgale’s secondary  school  headmaster  Z. Grinpauks, english teacher and Comenius project coordinator Z.Breča, 7a class pupils Ieva Petersone, Evia Beidzale, 7b class pupil  Megija Petersone, had the opportunity to learn by visiting the Turkish city Bursa and SP Ismail Ozbek secondary school.
The period from 15.11.-20.11. we spent in a hospitable Turkish city Bursa and its suburb Kestel together with other partners from this project: Spain, Greece, Italy, Romania and of course, the Turkish representatives. These 6 days we were able not only to make friends, to play games and to meet new friends and colleagues, but also to discover the rich turkish culture, cuisine, beautiful and diverse nature - art museum, car museum, Green Mosque, Ulu Mosque - the largest at Bursa etc.
Our country's 94th birthday we spent in Istanbul, where we visited the Sofia mosque / cathedral, which is now a museum, the world’s famous Topkapi Palace with its treasures, Turkuzo big aquarium. We went on the Bosphorus tour on the Sea of Marmara, and saw the bridge that connects Asia with Europe.
In my opinion, for 7a and 7b class girls this was and will be one of the most memorable trips. It was the longest journey for all the girls, they flew by plane for the first time,  they met many new friends, felt the Turkish hospitality, living in their families, and felt the difference between us, Balts, and hot-Turks, Spanish, Greeks and Italians. As Ieva Pētersone wrote: "Now, I agree with the saying - there is the sun behind the clouds, because the whole flight we were accompanied by the sun and cloud pillows! I am really happy that I took part in this project!"
In my view, the objective of the project - to introduce us to a number of national cultures, to promote friendship between the 6 countries, to improve our english language skills, to learn to play games that are played throughout the world, to encourage students to spend more time outdoors by playing games, have been realized. This project will also be realized in future visits and during this and next school year in each of the participating schools.
Thanks to  Bursa, project coordinator Habip and other his team for  a warm hospitality! You are welcome to our country, Latvia, and Zemgales Secondary School in october, 2013.
